The Story of the Elements

At the beginning of the class I mentioned a book titled The Disappearing Spoon by Sean Kean. It's a very interesting book that tells the stories behind the periodic table of the elements. I was browsing the chemistry related articles and found this. It is even more stories about the elements by this author. I personally find something exciting about the periodic table, when someone thinks of chemistry it is one of the first things that come to mind. These collections of readable, interesting stories are a great outreach to those less scientifically inclined and can be used to combat chemophobia.
