Chemistry and the Pulitzer Prizes for Journalism
Two of this years Pulitzer Prizes recognized reporting on issues involving chemistry. The National Reporting Award went for the first time to an environmental website, InsideClimate News, for reports on the dangers of transporting diluted bitumen or dilbit by pipeline from Canada. The Editorial Writing Award went to the Tampa Bay Times for editorials on the importance of defeating a measure to stop adding flouride from the local water supply
